# Python 2 / IronPython: Settings

Set these values before making API requests.

## server\_address

Default: `'https://app.cryptolens.io/api/'`.

The legacy API base address, including the final `/api/`. Set it before requests when using your own License Server.

## ironpython2730\_legacy

Default: `False`.

Set to `True` for the documented IronPython 2.7.3-or-earlier compatibility path. Requests then use .NET WebRequest instead of urllib2. See the [legacy setup instructions](/libraries/python#python-2).

    This legacy implementation does not expose `proxy_experimental` or `verify_SSL`. Creating attributes with those names does not make the legacy request code use them. Configure the selected runtime's networking instead.
