# Python 3: RSAPublicKey

> The XML RSA public key used to check license signatures.

## Properties

| Property | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `modulus` | The Base64-encoded RSA modulus. |
| `exponent` | The Base64-encoded RSA exponent. |

## from\_string

Parse an RSA public key in XML format.

```python theme={null}
RSAPublicKey.from_string(rsaPubKeyString)
```

### Parameters

| Parameter | Default | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| `rsaPubKeyString` | Required | Your complete RSA public key XML from [QuickStart's Credentials section](https://app.cryptolens.io/docs/api/v3/QuickStart). |

### Result

Returns an `RSAPublicKey` object.

Malformed XML or missing Modulus/Exponent elements can raise an exception.

### Checks

Reads the key's elements; it does not verify any license response.
