# Python 3: Settings

> Server address and connection settings for this Python SDK implementation.

Set these values before making API requests.

## server\_address

Default: `'https://api.cryptolens.io/api/'`.

The API base address, including the final `/api/`. For a License Server on your own network, set it to that server's address before making requests. See the [License Server guide](/feature/license-server/index).

## verify\_SSL

Default: `True`.

Leave this set to `True` to check HTTPS certificates and hostnames. `False` disables those checks. License signatures do not replace HTTPS verification for every request; resolve missing CA certificates rather than disabling verification in a deployed application.

## proxy\_experimental

Default: `False`.

When `True` and HTTPS verification is enabled, the SDK explicitly applies the proxy settings returned by Python's `urllib.request.getproxies()`. `False` leaves proxy handling to the normal urllib request path; it does not guarantee that no proxy is used.
